Creating sustainable social change in Buenos Aires

Volunteer project: The project is focused on the communities of South America where due to environmental, social and governmental reasons, citizens struggle to rise above social inequality. The purpose of this project is to help those who constantly battle with the day-to-day socio-economic challenges. Therefore, the aims of the project are to create sustainable social change through building relationships and implementing strategic systems and structures, to provide a platform for transition from subsistence to maintaining a good quality of life for each individual, to actively support current generations in creating healthy and livable communities and plan for future generations to follow their example.
The volunteers will provide food to children and young people in a slum of Montechingolo every day. They will also organize art and cultural workshops.
Accommodation: In the first week, the volunteers will stay in a volunteer house in Avellaneda. The house is located 40km from the City of Buenos Aires. In the second week, the group will stay in a house in Madriguera. The houses provide basic living conditions. The volunteers will share a room, bathrooms and a kitchen. Please bring a sleeping bag.
Location: Buenos Aires is located in the center-east region of the country, on the western shore of the Rio de la Plata, in the Pampean region.

Extra fee: 360 Euro
The extra fee is intended to support the local host of the project who does not have sufficient funds. It is due upon arrival.
